If you don’t know much about web design, even hiring a developer can be intimidating. I want to make the process simple and painless for you. Here’s how it works.
Step One: The Consultation
First, arrange a free consultation. This is where we’ll talk it out and figure out what would best fit your requirements. No project is too big or too small, and I won’t try to sell you anything you don’t need, although I may make suggestions for free products that can improve your internet experience. We’ll also figure out how to work within your budget – whatever it may be. There is absolutely no obligation associated with the consultation. If you decide not to proceed, that’s okay. You won’t be pressured!
Step Two: Communication
My communication channels are always open. No matter what time it is, if you change your mind about something or have a new idea for your site, you can let me know! I will provide you with free tools that will allow us to share visuals and communicate your thoughts easier than text or a phone call can.
You will be able to see updates to your site in real-time, so feel free to check in on the design whenever the whim catches you. I also keep time sheets on Google Docs, so you can see when I’m working and what I’m working on in real-time, as well as have a record of the changes I’ve made along the way.
Step Three: The First Draft
Once you let me know what it is you’re looking for, unless we’re editing a pre-established website, I will build a “first draft” of the site. This is so we both have a frame of reference and have parts to work with while we’re brainstorming and editing, to make it perfect.
Step Four: Editing
After the first draft has been completed, you will enter the editing period. I want to make sure you’re happy with what you have, so you can make as many changes as you like, but the amount of time these changes take is dependent on communication. Sending a single email with a list of changes you want to make is going to make the process much quicker than sending multiple emails.
